What
services do we provide?
We are able to provide on-demand, high resolution aerial images
of your property or area of interest. Our aerial photography
system can operate under a cloud base and will typically yield
high quality colour images with ground resolution of 3cm (at
125m altitude) or 7cm (at 250m altitude). We can also provide
near infra-red (NIR) images at similar resolution.
We
can provide training to safely operate a CropCam and to process
images for use in a geographical information system. Our most
advanced course introduces participants to data interpretation
using specialist remote-sensing computer packages. |

How
do we do it?
We are using a CropCam mini-UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle or
drone). This is an electric remote-controlled plane with autopilot,
GPS and digital camera. In consultation with you, we design
the flight plan to successfully capture aerial photography
to solve your problem. We can program the UAV to photograph
a block of country or a strip, for example following a river,
or to randomly sample a large area, if this is required.
Our UAV will fly for up to one hour at an average speed of
60km/hr. The aerial photography is downloaded from the UAV,
along with GPS and aircraft performance files. We will then
mosaic and georeference the images to your chosen map datum
and projection. CropCam training is provided from our base
in Atherton. |
